This was a very relaxed day where we didn’t do much of anything, but I did think of a couple of things to share.
We went to Union Market for mid-morning coffee & croissants (Rachael loves the Iced Matcha Latte with Strawberry).
There was an art show at The Kent, a space we hadn’t been in before, that was not very good.
But! We were loitering outside and ending up meeting David who runs The Narrow Group, which manages 11 buildings for artists around the city.
“Eclectic spaces for food, drink, and the creative arts in East Vancouver” - inspiring!
David let us in to walk around the Artopia space at 550 Cambie.
I have a follow up to talk more about what he’s doing, including a proposal with Emily Carr to take over the Granville Island buildings.
We wandered home and didn’t do much for the afternoon.
I’ve been playing some Dwarf Fortress, and then ended up doing way too much tech blogging 😆
An evening park lounge with ice cream from Earnest, and run ins with a couple of neighbours, including the amazing Violet.
