We wandered around Strathcona to cafes and an art show, and then stopped in at Gourmet Warehouse on the way home.
This is the wall of vinegar
Here’s a close up of some fruit vinegars, including the Japanese yuzu vinegar that we like to have around.
Champagne vinegar and sherry vinegar are some of my other favourites.
Oh wait - but also agrodolce, the Italian sweet vinegar condiment. And also various Asian vinegars that mostly aren’t available here, like Chinese black vinegar, or Filipino datu puti vinegar.
Ok yes I like many vinegars!
I am not knowledgeable about olive oil at all. But I do like to have a nice finishing olive oil around. I haven’t really settled on anything I consistently get.
Rachael decided cute bottles was as good a way to pick as any. These bee & butterfly ones were shortlisted.
And here’s the one we ended up getting, farthest right, the Francisco Gómez Chiquitita:
TIL it’s made from sikitita olives. Haven’t opened it yet, will have to see how it tastes!
