So I actually am playing some games on my new Steam Machine other than turning it into yet another homelab device.

Enshrouded

Enshrouded1 just went out of early access, here's the launch trailer:

I play it single player and offline. It's a chill open world crafting game. It feels a bit like No Mans Sky crossed with Fable. No Mans Sky2 -- because you're doing a bunch of traveling around the map looking for mines and trees and other resources, unlocking better equipment and bringing characters back to your base to support you. Fable, because of how the combat feels and the weapons that you focus on. Probably a bit of Skyrim thrown in here as well, plus Valheim.

I was vaguely aiming towards being a stabby - bow hunting type character, but bows don't really work early on, and I ended up getting a legendary axe as my first good weapon. You can fairly easily respec so we'll see where it goes.

Battle Brothers

I also played a little Battle Brothers3, a game that I was looking forward to playing but never worked on Steamdeck even. It's hard and complex and I barely know how to play. But fun!

Feels a little bit like Mount & Blade series in the overland view, however the battle in BB is turn based.
